The Revenue Execution Engine
Most companies don't have a sales problem. They have an alignment problem — and it runs deeper than messaging.
This isn't a communication problem. It's a strategy, ICP, tactics, and story alignment problem — all four, at once. When they're not locked together, growth is unpredictable, execution is exhausting, and the business is more fragile than it looks.
Marketing wants to invest in SEO. Sales wants to work a trade show. Leadership is debating both — and nobody has agreed on who the ideal customer actually is. Meanwhile, every rep is telling a slightly different story, and the best deals are still closing because the founder was in the room.
This is especially costly for growth-minded businesses navigating strategic change — an acquisition, a new market, a succession, or a sale. The stakes are highest precisely when alignment is hardest to maintain.
The most expensive problem in your business is the gap between what you think you sell and what your customer actually values.

“The sale was never the problem. The delivery system was.”
Why I Build Systems Now
A great story and a great relationship can get you in the room. But if the execution engine behind you doesn't work, it all falls apart.
The Revenue Execution Engine doesn't just fix your Sales System. It aligns your Sales System with your Delivery System — so what you promise is what you can actually deliver. One Story. One Process. One Goal.
Your CRM tracks what you do. The Revenue Execution Engine tracks what they need.
Universal Application
The Revenue Execution Engine works across every industry where humans make decisions.
When the stakes are highest, the story must be clearest. We clarify and align your unique value so it resonates with every stakeholder who matters.
Our proven process shows ideal customers, investors, team members, and strategic partners your unique value — in a way they can experience it.
Trusted by growth-minded companies

The Revenue Execution Engine was built by people who have spent decades in the field — building companies, leading teams, and translating strategy and story into execution. The system doesn’t require either of them in the room to work. That’s the point.
John is an Emmy- and Murrow Award-winning journalist who spent years in top markets — Seattle, Dallas, Charlotte, and St. Louis — learning how to uncover the truth behind a story. Not the version people think they're telling. The real one.
He learned directly from the Chief Storytellers of Microsoft and Procter & Gamble, and in 2019, an entrepreneur friend helped him see the seam in the marketplace where he could add value: the discipline that made him a great journalist could transform how middle-market companies grow. Story on Purpose was born from that insight.
Since then, John has helped dozens of businesses achieve their growth and change initiatives through the power of authentic story — clarifying and aligning their unique value so it resonates with the customers, investors, and partners who matter most.
Dan is a revenue builder at heart. Before becoming a Bloom Growth Coach, he built and scaled companies across software, agency, telecom, and professional services — from launching regional operations and growing Fortune 1000 accounts to scaling a 24-person marketing firm and building a revenue engine from zero for an investor-backed startup.
Over 25+ years, Dan has led teams, opened markets, run P&Ls, and translated strategy into execution. He’s worked with more than 300 companies, many running on EOS, Scaling Up, or Bloom — organizations with strong alignment but no clear math-backed revenue engine. That gap became his focus.
Dan created the Revenue Execution System: a structured approach that turns revenue goals into real math, targeted ICP strategy, buyer-aligned sales process, and messaging grounded in Voice of Customer research. The result is not theory — it’s a living Revenue Execution Playbook leadership teams can actually run.
We work with a select number of companies at a time. A Discovery Call is the first step to finding out if the Revenue Execution Engine is the right fit — for both of us.
Not every company is a fit. We'll be honest with you if this isn't the right time or the right engagement.
